Protein, fat, vitamin and minerals controlled custom diet for Trangenic
Rats & Mice. Designed for undernourished and young rodents.
To be used within the context of experimental protocols.
Once mixed the diet contains ~55% water which is fed as a moist ‘cake’ to allow easy handling and consumption. Especially beneficial when fed from 3 weeks prior to birth, throughout lactation and for 3 weeks post weaning. Feed this diet alongside the standard diet.
Directions for Use
Period: According to the experimental protocol. A transition period to SDS custom diet during weaning is recommended.
Method: As meal/powder Ad libitum or according to experimental protocols.
Designed to manufacture semi-moist diet. Mix 100g meal to 100ml warm water 40–50ºC until a liquid is formed. Pour it into a Petri dish or 5–10mm tray and leave 4°C for 12 to 24 hours. It can wither be frozen or fed fresh. Can be cut into suitably sized pieces.
Daily Consumption: When mixed with water approximately twice as much diet will be consumed.
Rats 18 to 25 g, mice 3 to 6 g, hamsters 8 to 12 g.
Varies depending on species, strain, weight and age.
Storage: Store in a clean, dry at 4°C, protected from light.
One mixed with water to form semi moist diet use within 48hours.
Discard any unused diet 48 hours after mixing.

Wheat, skimmed milk powder, gelatine, hydrolyzed fish proteins,
maize, casein, corn oil, whey powder, oats, maltodextrin, pre-mixture
of minerals, anchovy sardine oil, pre-mixture of vitamins, crude
cellulose, L-valine, hydrogenated coconut oil, L-tyrosine, L-leucine,
banana aroma, citric acid, L-lysine, L-isoleucine, L-glutamic acid, Lcystine, sodium formate, DLmethionine, L-phenylalanine, choline,
sodium chloride, betaine, fructo-oligosaccharides, L-threonine,
inactivated brewer’s yeast, vitamin k3 mnb, manno-oligosaccharides..
